The Management Committee (MC) of IS1401 oversees all networking initiatives foreseen in the Action's Memorandum of Understanding. The MC is in charge of the coordination, implementation and management of the IS1401ELN activities as well as supervising the appropriate allocation and use of the COST funds with a view to achieving the Action's scientific, technological, and societal objectives.
The MC is comprised of two national representatives from COST countries. Currently, 35 COST countries signed the IS1401ELN Memorandum of Understanding, these are listed below.
COST Near Neighbour Countries (NNC) and International Partner Countries (IPC) can also join the Action.
Researchers from three NNC (Albania, Belarus, and Ukraine) and twelve COST IPC (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, New Zealand, Qatar, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, USA, and Zambia) have already joined the Action and are playing an active role in establishing the European Literacy Network.
